The Wages of Gun free Zones is More Deaths.

Here is a pretty good (and recently updated) article from the Crime Prevention Research Center (CPRC) regarding the prevalence of mass public shootings in place where guns are prohibited for the unbadged versus localities where concealed carry is not meaningfully restricted. The author also explain how the propaganda from groups like "Everytown for Gun Safety" and "Mayors Against Illegal Guns" distorts the numbers to better serve their agenda.

I did not realize the the difference was so marked. In the 55 years since 1950, 98.4% of mass public shootings happened in places where carry for ordinary persons was prohibited either by local law or the venue owner's requirements. If only the years from 1998 to 2016 are considered that number drops slightly to 96.2%. While no solid conclusions can be drawn from just those two numbers, they do make it reasonable to consider the proposition that: If guns are a "Pubic Heath" problem, the best vaccine is not prohibition but empowering peaceable citizens to carry firearms for defense of self and, where appropriate, others.

I'm not likely to bring myself into your building either.

If Chipotle wants to insure that only law-breakers will be allowed to carry guns in their buildings, I don't want to be there when the inevitable happens.

In the following video you can see that Sen. Hudek clearly deserves a nomination for Most Egregiously Stupid Comment in a Committee Hearing. Ms. Collins, OTOH, deserve a award for telling the idiot masquerading as a Senator that the right to effective self defense trumps any touchy-feely horseshit about teachers feeling comfortable.

Frankly, if a teacher is uncomfortable with any of his students carrying a gun -- openly or concealed -- he needs to find a different line of work. Fast food service would be appropriate.

A pizza deliveryman was shot and killed during a robbery in the Belmont section of Philadelphia.

The second one in less than two weeks? How many people have to die to before the idiots in charge learn? The predators are only getting better at trapping their prey and the worthless politicians are still protecting the killers. Don't resist. Give them what they want. Just once I'd like the hear a goddamn cop say something like:

Look people. There are vicious predators out there who don't give a damn about your life. They will kill you for pocket change and just watch you die. We cannot protect you! Get a gun. Learn to use it. Then when some animal tries to rob or hurt you, shoot the son of a bitch. Call us and report shots fired. We'll show up and make sure the right person got shot.

Is that to much to ask?

“Killer Empowerment Zones”© are more commonly known as “Gun-Free” zones by the “Reality-Challenged”. The Utopian intent of course, is a delusion that the law, or warning signs at a public facility will be sufficient to protect the public. The otherwise perfectly legal concealed weapon civilians are disarmed and rendered as defenseless as everyone else. While this Utopian theory has no validated tracking history of success, it certainly has a documented record of failure. Even as we concede that the Utopians may deserve an “A” for their good intentions, they certainly have earned an “”F” as in FATAL for ACTUAL results.

KMZ: Unintended Consequences are Fatal

The consequence of disarming the law-abiding public is the creation of a zone that is perfectly designed for the health, welfare and safety of the mass murderer. He is virtually guaranteed that a law-abiding public will have no realistic ability to protect themselves or others. The active killer has been given a cart-blanche opportunity to decide who and how many die, almost as if he wrote the law supporting gun free zones himself. These zones are very attractive to him!
